Join SOLVE at Round Butte near Cove Palisades State park for a volunteer cleanup day. Round Butte is a dormant shield volcano that is also used as an off-highway vehicle area and shooting range. Rhododendron Sunday – Mother’s Day
Rhododendron Sunday/Mother’s Day at Shore Acres State Park – May 8, 2022 - Treat mom and family to a delightful day at Shore Acres south of Charleston, Oregon. In the garden, members of the Southwestern Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will have a display of cut blooms and will be available to answer your questions about rhodies. The park is open from 8 am to dusk and the Garden House will be open from 11am-4 pm with refreshments provided by the Friends of Shore Acres.

The annual Ladd Marsh Bird Festival is an uncrowded birding opportunity for the whole family. The Ladd Marsh Bird Festival is held at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area located about 7 miles south of La Grande, Oregon.
