Earth Day: Native Plant Garden Care Event at Silver Falls

Spend Earth Day at Silver Falls State Park helping to maintain the native plant garden at the South Falls Lodge. Volunteers are needed to clean up winter debris and plant native plants. Earth Day: Remove Invasive Plants at Jessie M. Honeyman State Park

Earth Day Event with SOLVE: Round Butte Clean Up with Cove Palisades

Join SOLVE at Round Butte near Cove Palisades State park for a volunteer cleanup day. Round Butte is a dormant shield volcano that is also used as an off-highway vehicle area and shooting range. Unfortunately, some visitors leave trash and shell casings here, and invasive weeds are a problem. Consider spending Earth Day here with SOLVE and OPRD and make a difference! Champoeg State Heritage Area hosts Founders Day

Reenactments and a ceremony honoring the men who voted for Oregon's first provisional government will be part of the events at Champoeg State Heritage Area on Founder's Day, April 30. This event is free, but a $5 parking fee or parking permit is required. More information is available from Oregon State Parks.

Rhododendron Sunday – Mother’s Day

Rhododendron Sunday/Mother’s Day at Shore Acres State Park – May 8, 2022 - Treat mom and family to a delightful day at Shore Acres south of Charleston, Oregon. In the garden, members of the Southwestern Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will have a display of cut blooms and will be available to answer your questions about rhodies. The park is open from 8 am to dusk and the Garden House will be open from 11am-4 pm with refreshments provided by the Friends of Shore Acres.

Ladd Marsh Bird Festival

The annual Ladd Marsh Bird Festival is an uncrowded birding opportunity for the whole family. The Ladd Marsh Bird Festival is held at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area located about 7 miles south of La Grande, Oregon. Partners in presenting the Bird Festival include Friends of Ladd Marsh and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and others. Register online.

Birds Without Borders

Horse Camp and Trails Volunteer Work Party at Nehalem Bay State Park
